Aisha jamila Hinds has been an American actor for more than a decade. Her credits have included The Shield as well as True Blood. In the years since her debut she has demonstrated her range of talents by appearing in series like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. First noticed in 2005 for the role of Anna which was featured in Assault on Precinct 13 She was first recognized for her part in the biographical documentary All the Way. Hind was also praised for her performance as Harriet Tubman's in WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show is renewed for a third season with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has completed filming for the Hollywood flick Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It's scheduled to be released in mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj was employed as a Army scientist and died on March 18, 2017. Mother Vrinda is a homemaker. She has an older brother Aditya Rai, who is a merchant navy engineer. Bachchan's older brother Aditya Rai coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir School was her high school in Mumbai following her move to the city along with her parents. Her intermediate studies were completed in Jai Hind College for a year before enrolling at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga is where she obtained a grade of 90% in H.S.C. exams. She studied classical music and dance for five years during her teenage years. Her favourite course was Zoology. Bachchan was a student of Architecture when she was crowned Miss World. This title was a boost to her career in the world of modeling. Her lucrative roles with PepsiCo Inc. & Vogue magazine and the spokesmodel contract to L'Oreal Paris were all rewarded in 2003. The year 1997 was the time she played two celebrated roles: Iruvar and Aur pyaar Hogaia. The two films challenged the traditional form that was prevalent in Bollywood movies at the time, which pushed Bachchan to the forefront of Bollywood's New Bollywood. With her heartbreaking portrayal as the betrayed lover Paro In Devdas (2002) among the top loved Bollywood films and the first to be shown in the Cannes Film Festival Bachchan cemented her place as the new queen of Bollywood. After that, she was rewarded with high praise for her role as Chokher Bali (2003) which is a dramatic thriller based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. The same year, she was appointed as the first Indian actress to be on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan was in Bride and Prejudice, a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. Bachchan has brought her fame and her beauty to her first major English film. Following the release of Provoked: a True Story in English, she went back to Bollywood and starred in the blockbuster Dhoom: 2 (2007). She married Abhishek Bachchan, a co-star and daughter of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage brought two of India's most powerful personalities together.
