Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is an actress and model. Her first feature film appearance was in a minor part in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was offered by a professional photographer. This led to an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. She accepted a small role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the director who cast her. Doody appears within John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 when she portrayed Doody in the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) with Mickey Rourke, is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody played an unseen role as the wife of Archibald Craven Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part of Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood, Doody became famous. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as girlfriend for Major League II. She had been chosen as the replacement for Cybill Shepherd who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody's first appearance on the big screen took place in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. In 2004, Doody appeared in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In the following year, she was a guest in RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
